ENVIRONMENT

The campsite Illa Mateua has been, since its inception in 1988,  very sensitive to the environmental aspect:

Sustainable integration of the buildings and using natural  materials such as local stone in order to minimise the visual impact on the natural environment and to limit the need for energy.

The local stone was used extensively in the terraces also saving the slight slope, as has been done since ancient times when the camping grounds were dedicated to the cultivation of vines and olive groves.
Our goal is to minimise the impact on the environment and also to promote and educate our customers about ecology and the environment.
